It’s hard to 𝓫𝓮𝓵𝓲𝓮𝓿𝓮 that my 7th “12 𝓓𝓪𝔂𝓼 𝓸𝓯 𝓜𝓪𝓭𝓲𝓼𝓸𝓷” is here.

Madison should be turning 19 on 12/12. 𝓝𝓲𝓷𝓮𝓽𝓮𝓮𝓷. WOW—that’s hard to type. It doesn’t seem possible that she would be turning 19, and it doesn’t seem possible that she has been gone for over 6 years.

Some days I wonder how I’m still functioning, but then I remember my “𝔀𝓱𝔂”. I’m here to keep her memory alive and to teach Landon and others that in this world, “𝓑𝓮 𝓚𝓲𝓷𝓭” and help others. Life is 𝓱𝓪𝓻𝓭, and I’m thankful that we are able to give back to others.

I started this tradition as a way to help families facing childhood cancer in honor of Madison, but I quickly realized how emotionally difficult that was for me. Instead, I shifted toward awarding scholarship(s) at Monroe High School and to helping families in need of “financial” support. Since starting the 𝓑𝓮 𝓚𝓲𝓷𝓭 𝓛𝓲𝓴𝓮 𝓜𝓪𝓭𝓲𝓼𝓸𝓷 foundation in 2024, we have:

• Helped with 2 funerals — because no parent should ever have to bury their child

• Gifted 9 scholarships

• Helped 4 boys enjoy a Mother’s Day lunch with their mom in the hospital

• Supported a local family after a medical accident

All of this is because of 𝓨𝓞𝓤 — your kindness, your support, and your willingness to help keep Madison’s legacy alive.

I 𝓱𝓸𝓹𝓮 you will continue to support the 12 𝓓𝓪𝔂𝓼 𝓸𝓯 𝓜𝓪𝓭𝓲𝓼𝓸𝓷.

Would you consider donating $19 in honor of her birthday—or any amount that feels right? Every bit is appreciated.
